Hola is the Spanish word to say hello.
Adios is the Spanish word to say goodbye.
Both of these words are an informal way to greet people

8 AM - Buenos Días

1 PM - Buenas Tardes

10 PM - Buenas Noches

Buenos días, buenas tardes and buenas noches are a more formal way to greet people in the morning, afternoon and night.

Informal situation:

Formal situation:
